About Me

Welcome! My name is Nikkala Kordzik. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, and have experience counseling clients in private practice and school settings. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, I am a National Certified Counselor (board-certified counselor), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas, Registered Play Therapist, and a Certified School Counselor in Texas. I also have previously worked as an elementary school counselor and a high school social studies teacher. I specialize in counseling children, adolescents, and adults, who are experiencing anxiety, ADD/ADHD, and life transitions, as well as career and substance use concerns.  I provide in-office counseling services in New Braunfels, Texas and offer telehealth counseling services to clients, who are physically located in Texas. I counsel clients during the daytime, evenings, and weekends.

I counsel clients in Texas using a holistic and individualized approach, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, reality therapy, play therapy, sandtray therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and other evidenced-based interventions. I help clients identify their goals and form strategies to reach them. My belief is that clients can reach their goals when they are willing to make small changes in their life, process their feelings, set healthy boundaries, and live authentically.

In addition to counseling clients, I enjoy exercising, watching and playing sports, walking my family dog, and reading, as well as spending quality time and speaking German with my Texas-German family. I am looking forward to working with you! Call me at 830-376-2657 today to schedule an appointment!
